We are delighted to announce that our very own Krysia West has been shortlisted for the prestigious Southern Hairdresser of the Year title at HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards.
The awards are a celebration of hairdressing excellence, recognising the outstanding creative and technical abilities of stylists from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Judged anonymously by over 100 leading hairdressers (including celebrity stylists, session stylists, and salon owners), the winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony on Monday 29th November at Grosvenor House in London.
Krysia was selected as one of just six finalists in her region, after submitting four photographic images demonstrating her hairdressing expertise, both in terms of technical skill and creative ability. She is now required to submit a further two images for the final round of judging.

I’m confident that my photographic collection showcases my skillset and imagination and I really hope to bring the trophy home to Berkshire.”
Jayne Lewis-Orr, Executive Director of HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards, said: “These awards recognise the very best of British hairdressing talent, celebrating the passion, artistry and expertise of individuals from across the country. “In reaching the finals, Karen has demonstrated that she is an accomplished and gifted stylist with an impeccable eye for detail. Every year, this competition gets tougher as the standard of entries improves and Krysia should feel incredibly proud to be recognised at this level.”
Krysia and her team have won multiple awards in the past decade. Recent successes include Best Creative Image (Berkshire) and Most Sustainable Salon in Berkshire at The Salon Awards 2020. Krysia was also a finalist in the Fellowship For English Hairdressing 2020 Image Awards, and was a British Hairdressing Awards finalist for Southern Hairdressers of the year in 2020 and 2018. In 2018 and 2017, Krysia and the Perfectly Posh team won Salon of the Year and Stylist of the year at the British Hair & Beauty Awards.
