The Best Men’s Hair Trends at Perfectly Posh Hair Salon in Hungerford
Thinking of trying out a brand new look to kick off spring 2016 in style? We take a look at the top 5 fashion-forward hairstyles for men in 2018 to inspire you.
1. The Buzz Cut
With the release of the latest Coen Brothers movie ‘Hail, Caesar!,’ this classic cut looks like it is about to have a resurgence.
The ‘Caesar Haircut’ is usually cut very short at the sides and with the hair on the top swept forward. Remember when Justin Bieber had an earlier ‘take’ on this style with his hair swept forward onto his face?
For Spring 2018 (and beyond, we suspect!), this style will be more cutting edge. The sides will be super short and shaved and the top kept longer but no-where near as long as in the Justin Bieber early era!
The short length makes it easy to maintain and this style looks great when you work in a little texture for a messy, understated look.
2. The Pompadour Skin Fade
OK, we know that ‘the Pompadour’ was a classic hairstyle of the mid 1700s but it really is popular again in 2018!
The basic concept is to wear your hair swept upwards from the face and high over the forehead in a massive quiff.
For an on-trend men’s hairstyle in 2018 we’ve added a skin fade to the pompadour. Ask your stylist to use a #2 or #3 on the sides and to fade it from there upwards to your quiff.
Anything longer won’t give you this look. There should still be some length on top, but it’s up to you as to how high you wear your quiff.
3. The Disconnected Undercut
What makes the Undercut so disconnected? We’re glad you asked…
The sides of the hair are either cut extremely short or shaved – usually to one length all round – which creates a noticeable contrast between the sides of the hair and the top.
This differs to the fade, mentioned in the pompadour style above. With the fade, the hair graduates from short up to longer so there is less contrast between the length on the top of the hair and the sides.
If you are in doubt as to which style will suit you, talk to your stylist at Perfectly Posh Hair Design. We can help you work out the perfect hair cut for you.
4. The Slick Back & Beard Combo
We forecast a high-shine look taking centre stage in 2016 – which means lots of pomade!
Add a side parting and slick your hair back if you want to give your style a new makeover. This styling ‘trick’ is appropriate for both short and long hair.
We also have to report that facial hair remains a firm favourite amongst the chaps out there so if you fancy a change, put away the razor and start growing your beard now. Keep it looking neat and tidy with regular visits to Perfectly Posh for a beard trim!
5. Curly Hair For Men
If you’ve been blessed with naturally curly hair, it’s time to embrace those curls!
The first thing you need when you have curly hair is a great hair cut. We can cut some layers into your curls to make your hair more manageable and on-trend. You can pair your curls with an undercut or a skin fade for a look that will stand out from the rest.
